Biography
He came to the University of Minnesota, College of Business Administration in 1959 to create courses in Operations Research in the newly created MBA and doctoral program. He has won the Carlson School of Management Award for Teaching Excellence, was an honorary sponsor of the 1992 graduating class from the Institute of Enterprise Administration at the University of Basse-Normandie, Caen, France, and a 1981 Fulbright-Hays Research Fellow at Haute Etudes Commerciales (HEC), France. In 1978-79 he was the President of the Minnesota Chapter of the North American Society for Corporate Planning. Professor Willis is a graduate of the NROTC program at RPI, he was commissioned as an Ensign USN in 1951 and is currently retired as Commander USNR.
