Biography

Nick LaRusso runs a boutique sales strategy practice, bringing over two decades of sales and account management experience. As a former sales executive, regional director, and individual contributor, he has led global sales and account management teams for some of the most widely respected education and education technology companies, including Coursera, Pearson Education, and Blackboard. 

With expertise in selling education services and technology, his approach to sales is both scientific and strategic, focusing on: 

  • Developing needs-based value propositions
  • Customizing solution presentations for key buyers
  • Coaching and training sales teams to drive opportunity closure through disciplined methodology
  • Building scalable sales infrastructure to increase consistency in sales performance. 

LaRusso believes strongly in giving back to his community through volunteer work and his passion for coaching and developing teams extends beyond his professional endeavors. From 2013-2018 he served as a board member and ultimately board chair of the Better Business Bureau's Institute for Marketplace Trust, the educational arm of the Better Business Bureau. As head coach for his son's traveling hockey team, he helps players understand the value of being coached. He resides in Minneapolis with his family. Outside of work and coaching, he enjoys playing hockey, mountain biking, golfing, skiing, and most other outdoor activities.

LaRusso has an MBA from Minnesota Carlson and a BA in Economics from Colby College.
