Biography

Janelle Jordan is a Senior Lecturer in the Strategic Management and Entrepreneurship Department at Minnesota Carlson, where she’s been teaching since 2023. She is passionate about helping students learn critical thinking skills and adopt a growth mindset. 

Janelle earned her MBA from the University of Minnesota Carlson School of Management and her BSBA from The Ohio State University. She studied abroad three times and was an undergraduate student athlete, earning a Varsity Letter in Rowing and Scholar Athlete awards.

She founded Jordan Solutions, LLC as a consulting firm with a mission of Helping People and Processes Thrive. She is a Gallup Certified Strengths Coach who continues to help leadership teams work more effectively together, leveraging her strong natural talents of Woo, Activator, and Communication to facilitate engaging workshops and inspire participants.

Prior to her entrepreneurial launch, Janelle worked for General Mills for 17 years in cross-functional roles including production plant logistics, technology systems implementation, sales & customer supply chain strategy, and process facilitation. During her time at General Mills, Janelle recruited undergraduate business students for internship and full-time employment, mentored new employees, and created an early career path development program. Awards earned include a Chairman’s Award for Outstanding Performance, numerous Vendor of the Year customer awards, and Best Recruiting Team three times.
