Biography
Jim Nord is a Sr. Lecturer of Information and Decision Sciences in the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota.
Jim holds a Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics from the University of Wisconsin-Stout, a Masters in Computer Science from Johns Hopkins University and a Masters in Business Administration from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota.
He has a wealth of experience as a SW Engineer, Systems Engineer and as a technical leader. He owned and operated his own consulting agency for over 10 years working as chief architect of many large scale enterprise software applications for Fortune 500 companies and government agencies. He also has extensive experience in data engineering and data analytics, medical device development, wireless communication systems and air traffic control systems. In addition, he was an Associate Professor of Computer Science for 2 years at the University of Wisconsin-Stout.
