Biography

Amanda Geiser joins Minnesota Carlson as an assistant professor after earning a PhD in Marketing at University of California, Berkeley. She studies a variety of topics related to consumer judgment and decision-making, such as how people think about financial risks, how people respond to quantitative information that is framed in different ways, and how people compare moral wrongdoings. She loves being able to study not just what people choose to do, but also how they think about their choices. She recently started a new project looking at how people judge performance changes over time when they have multiple different reference groups to compare themselves to.
