Roxane Battle combines 25+ years of journalism, executive leadership, and mental health advocacy into a real-world facilitation and speaker programs that are both engaging and informative. 

She is currently Vice President of Communications and Strategic Initiatives at the Women's Foundation of Minnesota and best known for her work as a former award-winning anchor and reporter for KARE-11 (NBC), WCCO-TV (CBS)-Minneapolis and KMSP-FOX9. She continues to make regular television appearances as a mental health advocate on KSTP-TV-(ABC),giving her the rare distinction of having held regular on-air roles at all four Twin Cities network affiliates.

Roxane translated her storytelling expertise into an executive career at Optum, the nation's largest behavioral health care provider, where she hosted the digital mental health series Checking in with Roxane Battle, reaching 4 million subscribers. She has presented to Fortune 50 corporations including Apple, UnitedHealth Group, 3M, Wells Fargo, T-Mobile, and the Economic Club of Minnesota.

Roxane is the author of the bestselling book Pockets of Joy: Deciding to Be Happy, Choosing to Be Free — honored as Midwest Independent Publisher's Book of the Year and re-released by Whitaker House Publishing in 2017 and 2022. She was among the first cohort of national authors named an Architect of Change by Maria Shriver and has been featured on the cover of Working Mother magazine. In addition to multiple Midwest Emmy nominations, she has won four international Telly Awards for storytelling excellence.

She is a proud University of Minnesota–Twin Cities alumna, where she earned her undergraduate journalism degree before completing a master’s in journalism at the University of Missouri-Columbia. She studied psychology through Harvard's extension school and holds certifications in Emotional Agility for Workplace Well-being and Using GenAI to Enhance Emotional Intelligence as a Leader. She has served as a women's board advisor for Minnesota Carlson business school and has presented at Carlson's Women's Leadership Conference and Executive Education.

She has an adult son, is an avid cyclist and cooking from scratch aficionado.
