Jens Hagstrom

About

Jens has more than 10 years of continuous improvement and manufacturing operations experience from companies such as Boston Scientific, Hormel, and 3M. Recently, he led the operational excellence journey for Boston Scientific’s Arden Hills, Minnesota site which resulted in the site being awarded the Shingo Silver Medallion. He has extensive experience with lean, coaching, strategy deployment, and system design which were key elements utilized throughout their journey. In his current role, Jens provides strategic plant-level support intended to sustain and improve Boston Scientific’s Delivering Excellence business model.  

Jens attended the University of Minnesota and earned a Master of Science in Industrial & Systems Engineering. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Physics from Gustavus Adolphus College. Jens is an active member of the Manufacturer’s Alliance Advanced Lean Peer Group as well as several Lean Councils at Boston Scientific. In addition, Jens earned Lean/Six Sigma Certification from the Lean Institute. He has also taken several Shingo Model Workshops and is working his way towards becoming a Shingo Alumni.
