Dr. Jason "JW" Womack
About
Dr. Womack is a Strategist for Leader Development and Operational Readiness at Space Systems Command, based at Los Angeles AFB. Previously, he was the Development Branch Chief for the US Space Force.
As Assistant Professor at the Air War College, Air University, he helped write curriculum, accelerate faculty development, and instruct more than 2,500 future Squadron Commanders and Senior Enlisted Leaders on effective leadership skills required to thrive in command. He earned a doctorate in Organizational Leadership at the University of Southern California. His research on “Connected Reflective Practice” helps build leaders’ psychological and social skills and guide them to become more self-aware of how they impact their organization.
Dr. Womack is a Certified ICF Coach, author of books titled: “Get Momentum: How to Start When You're Stuck,” and “Your Best Just Got Better: Think Bigger, Work Smarter, Achieve More.” He is also a multi-time TEDx Speaker with TED Talks titled “What if There’s More to the Story,” “Three Moments That Make A Difference,” and “Roses, Buds, or Thorns: What Are You Holding?”
He earned the Secretary of the Air Force Leadership Award, the Air Force Exemplary Civilian Service Award, excellence in teaching awards, and team awards for contributions to leader development. Dr. Womack is by name requested for his engaging presentations and workshops on reflection and creating a high-performance work culture.
