Amy Dahl

Amy Dahl currently serves as the Vice President, Human Resources & General Counsel of The Toro Company.  She has had responsibilities as the company’s chief human resources officer since March 2015 and, more recently, also assumed the role of chief legal officer and corporate secretary in January 2020. She previously had oversight responsibility for the company’s distributor development function from December 2016 to November 2020.

After starting her career in the private practice of law, Amy joined The Toro Company in 2007 as Corporate Counsel. She served in various roles of increasing responsibility in the company’s legal function, including as Assistant General Counsel & Assistant Secretary, until June 2013.  She provided legal counsel primarily in the areas of securities law, corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, and general corporate law, and had oversight responsibility for the company’s product integrity team. From 2012 to 2014 she served as Chair of the Committee responsible for planning the company’s centennial celebration. She also served as Managing Director, Corporate Communications & Investor Relations from June 2013 to March 2015.

Amy earned a Bachelor of Arts in political science from the University of Minnesota--Twin Cities, and a Juris Doctor, with distinction, from The University of North Dakota School of Law where she was a member of the Order of the Coif.  She currently serves on the Boards of the Greater Twin Cities United Way and The Toro Foundation.
