David Hong Learns Value of Developing a Shared Vision

The most memorable parts of my Carlson Consulting Enterprise experience have been the times I was challenged to work with clients and team members from more diverse backgrounds and perspectives than I had previously. The most vivid example of this was my first Consulting Enterprise project working with a small non-profit client, which offered unique challenges compared to the Fortune 500 companies I had worked with before my MBA.

My most valuable takeaways from Enterprise experience are the importance of clearly defining a problem and getting buy-in from all invested stakeholders. One could be the most skilled problem solver in the world, but if they failed to solve the right problem or gain the support of the people who would actually implement the solution, they would struggle to make a meaningful impact in an organization.

After my MBA I plan to enter a career in corporate finance. This summer I will be interning at Target in their Financial Leadership Development Program.
