What are you reading?

I am reading Learning to See by Mike Rother and John Shook, Toyota Kata by Mike Rother, and Orca by Steve Brust.

Your favorite website?

CNN.com.

Your dream job?

TBD (depends on what stage in life I’m at). I’m enjoying working in operations at Medtronic now.

What are you reading?

I just finished On Writing from Steven King—which I think everybody should read—and The Lean Startup from Eric Ries. I’m currently trying to finish The Prince from Niccolò Macchiavelli which I started many times but never made it further than page 30.

Your favorite website?

I love Google for its content and Apple for how it markets its incredibly well-designed products and services.

Your dream job?

After starting up two companies and serving on different boards in Austria and Italy, I just resigned from all my functions and started my dream job as an entrepreneur in Silicon Valley.

What are you reading?

I’m currently reading two books: Stephen Greenblatt’s The Swerve: How the World Became Modern, which describes the 15th century discovery of a copy of Lucretius’ De Rerum Natura and its effect on the emergence of the Renaissance in Europe; and Journalism, a collection of miscellaneous pieces by journalist and graphic artist Joe Sacco.

Your favorite website?

The New York Review of Books Blog—I love its mix of arts, literature, and current affairs, and always find its pieces substantive and insightful. And when I’m not looking for something that heavy, there’s always the Onion.

Your dream job?

Anything that involves constantly dealing in ideas—developing new ones and debating the old. That’s pretty much why I joined academia! Perhaps small-event catering?
