Rick Nelson has taught numerous MBA and undergraduate courses and has been named an outstanding MBA faculty member in the Business Week Guide to the Best Business Schools. He has taught finance in the Carlson Executive MBA, Undergraduate, and Full-Time MBA programs. He also served as faculty director of the $17,000,000 student-run Carlson Fixed Income Fund. Prior to entering academics in 1997, he worked for sixteen years in various finance and investment positions in private industry, most recently as Senior Vice President of ReliaStar (now ING) Investment Research Inc. He received his BSBA and MBA from the Carlson School.
