Richard Nelson is a Senior Lecturer in Finance and Director of Undergraduate Finance Programs at the Carlson School of Management, University of Minnesota. At the Carlson School he has taught numerous MBA and undergraduate courses and has been named an outstanding MBA faculty member in the Business Week Guide to the Best Business Schools. He currently teaches finance in the Carlson Executive MBA and is the faculty director of the student run Carlson Fixed Income Fund. Previously he worked in various finance positions in private industry, most recently as senior vice president of ReliaStar (now ING) Investment Research Inc. He received his BSBA and MBA from Carlson School of Management, Minnesota.
