MS in Finance CFA Affiliation

CFA Institute

The Carlson School Master of Science in Finance program is a CFA University Affiliation Program, as conferred by the Chartered Financial Analyst Institute.

As such, the Master in Finance program covers a significant portion of the CFA Program Candidate Body of Knowledge (CBOK) in the program curriculum and conforms to the CFA Institute Code of Ethics while preparing students for the CFA exam. The CFA Program instills a combination of practical skills in investment analysis and portfolio management and ethical principles.

By earning the CFA designation, you’ll enhance your skill set and professional prospects. Many MS in Finance students choose to sit for the CFA exams to complement their Master of Science in Finance degree from the Carlson School.

CFA Scholarships

The University of Minnesota’s partnership with the CFA Institute provides access to scholarships that help alleviate the cost of sitting for the CFA exam. Each year, the Carlson School of Management administers 14 scholarships, which include access to the curriculum eBook and reduces the exam registration fee to $350.
