The Medical Valuation Laboratory is a unique program found only at the Carlson School of Management. Since its inception in 2008, the Valuation Lab has had a wide audience ranging from students in eight different colleges at the University of Minnesota. Students in the course analyze numerous innovative medical technologies every year, assessing optimal market strategies for products varying from medical web-apps to class III implantable devices. These are real-world products bought to us from businesses and inventors across the medical space. The experiences gained from this class have enabled our graduates to progress into leadership roles within successful medical startups and Fortune 100 companies alike.
