University of St. Thomas President to Present at August '1st Tuesday'
University of St. Thomas President Dr. Julie Sullivan will share insights on higher education and the industries of the future at the 1st Tuesday speaker series on August 2 from 11:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m. at McNamara Alumni Center.
For more than 20 years, Dr. Julie Sullivan has devoted her career to higher education, from her time as a University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill professor to her current position as the University of St. Thomas' 15th president. She is the first woman and layperson to hold the position.
Previously, Dr. Sullivan served as executive vice president and provost at University of San Diego and as professor and administrator at the University of California-San Diego and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC-CH). Dr. Sullivan is an innovative academic leader with a purpose. She is a champion for social innovation, a leader in the Ashoka Changemaker movement, and known for her commitments to globalization and intercultural understanding.

The Carlson School of Management 1st Tuesday Speaker Series began in 1992 to provide an opportunity for alumni and friends of the Carlson School to continue their management education.
