Kalan Norris
After a year as a postdoctoral associate, Assistant Professor Kalan Norris continues his research at the Carlson School. In 2023, Norris earned his PhD in Management from the University at Buffalo School of Management. With a focus on diversity and inclusion, Norris studies the individual and organizational factors that influence employees’ perceptions of belonging and inclusion in the workplace.

John Heater
Assistant Professor John Heater joins the Carlson School after spending six years as a faculty member at the Duke University Fuqua School of Business. Before earning his PhD at the Yale School of Management, Heater worked in New York as an auditor for KPMG. His experience inspired him to study how CEOs can influence the way the capital market and investors interpret their firm’s performance.
