The School of Music, in partnership with the Carlson School, has put together a first-of-its-kind event on the University of Minnesota campus. The Music and Entrepreneurship course is presenting “Love Songs for the Heart” on Friday, May 6, at 7:00 p.m. at the Carlson School in the 3M Auditorium. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
The concert will feature Basses Wild!, Ensyn, The Florists, and Mill City Jazz – a unique collection of artists that will appeal to all audiences. Proceeds from the event will go toward benefitting heart disease research. Nearly everyone has been affected by heart disease in one way or another and the class was brought together with these experiences and its desire to help stop the number one cause of death in the United States.
You can help by attending the event and purchasing a ticket or by donating at Generisosity.com. Tickets are $3 and $5 presale and $6 and $8 at the door.
A promotional performance is taking place Tuesday, April 19, from noon to 1:00 p.m. in the Atrium.
