A Carlson School MA-HRIR student team took first place in the 3rd International HR Case Competition on Saturday, November 14. The team, consisting of second-year students Lindsay Jones and Kelly Dahlman and first-year students Cassie Cherveny and Madelis Rivera, competed against six other teams from around the world to solve a pressing global HR issue facing LG Electronics, the lead sponsor of the event. Second place went to the University of South Carolina and third to Rutgers University.
Also, another MA-HRIR team took second place at the Krannert School of Management Human Resources Case Competition on Thursday, November 12. The team of Sarabeth Bosselman, Chanthy Chum, Becky Tso, and Courtney Messinger competed with five other teams to solve a business case for lead sponsor Rolls Royce.
