U of M football head coach will headline the next "1st Tuesday Speaker Series" on August 2.
Jerry Kill, head coach of the University of Minnesota football program, will headline the next "1st Tuesday Speaker Series" on August 2 at 11:30 a.m. in the University of Minnesota's McNamara Alumni Center.
Kill came to Minnesota after spending three seasons at Northern Illinois University (NIU) where he lead the Huskies to three consecutive bowl games. He also coached NIU to a berth the Mid-American Conference Championship game.
Following NIU's 2010 season, Kill was named the National Coach of the Year by the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. The year prior, he was presented with the National Football Foundation Courage Award by the Chicago Metro Chapter of the National Football Foundation and College Football Hall of Fame.
Kill is a graduate of Southwestern College (Kan.)
