Chuck Mooty and Paul Mooty will present "The Revival of Faribault Woolen Mill Company" on June 5.

Faribault Woolen Mill Company chief executives Chuck Mooty and Paul Mooty will share how they resurrected the state's oldest manufacturing company at the next "1st Tuesday Speaker Series" on June 5 at 11:30 a.m. in the University of Minnesota's McNamara Alumni Center.

Chuck Mooty, the previous chairman, CEO, and president of International Dairy Queen, and his cousin and business partner, attorney Paul Mooty, acquired the then-shuttered Faribault Woolen Mill Company in June 2011 and reopened the mill in September. Chuck currently serves as president and CEO while Paul serves as the company's CFO.

The two are resurrecting the historic Faribault landmark, which dates back to 1865, making it Minnesota's oldest manufacturing company, with a goal of reestablishing the state as a viable manufacturer of wool products at a time when the majority of textile production occurs overseas.

Tickets to 1st Tuesday, which includes lunch, are $28. To register, visit
