Honored for paper, "When does negative brand publicity hurt?"
Professor Deborah John, the Curtis L. Carlson Chair in Marketing, recently won the Park Journal of Consumer Psychology Award, given for the best paper in each volume (year) of the Journal of Consumer Psychology.
The award was received for "When Does Negative Brand Publicity Hurt? The Moderating Influence of Analytic Versus Holistic Thinking" by Alokparna Basu Monga (a PhD graduate from the Carlson School) and John. This article was published in the October 2008 issue.
The Journal of Consumer Psychology has been recognized as one of the top five marketing journals, and is sponsored by the Society for Consumer Psychology.
