Strategic Management and Entrepreneurship Associate Professor Dan Forbes was recently named a 2017 Schulze Publication Award recipient. The award is given by Entrepreneur & Innovation Exchange (EIX) and recognizes work that has exceptional merit. Award winners receive funding for a scholarship to be donated on their behalf to the college or university of their choice.
Forbes was honored for his work, “Innovation in K-12 Education: One District’s Journey,” which he wrote with Eric Schneider, the assistant superintendent for instruction for Minnetonka Public Schools. The article provides an overview of a district-wide innovation program that has succeeded in fostering employee-enabled, school-based innovation. The full article can be found on the EIX website.
The award is named for Richard Schulze, the founder of Best Buy and the Richard M. Schulze Family Foundation.
