CIBER Hosts Forum on Turkey and Arab Spring
Georgetown's Sinan Ciddi to lead public forum on January 23.
Dr. Sinan Ciddi, executive director of the Institute of Turkish Studies at Georgetown University, will address Turkish foreign policy and the impact of the Arab Spring on the region on Monday, January 23 at the Carlson School.The public forum, a collaboration between the Minnesota International Center and the Center for International Business Education and Research (CIBER), will be held from 3:00 to 4:30 p.m.
Ciddi recently published a book entitled "Kemalism in Turkish Politics: The Republican People's Party: Secularism and Nationalism," focusing on the electoral weakness of the Republic People's Party. Ciddi also authors the Monthly Political Report on Turkey for The Economist's Intelligence Unit.
