Technology pioneer and Twitter, Inc. investor to speak on May 16 at Mariucci Arena.

The man the Wall Street Journal has described as, "possibly the most influential businessman in America" will speak to an auditorium full of graduates looking to take his place. Chris Sacca, the accomplished investor, private equity principal, company advisor and entrepreneur has been selected by the Carlson School of Management to deliver the commencement address at both its undergraduate and graduate ceremonies on May 16, 2011 at Mariucci Arena.

Sacca was among Twitter, Inc.'s first investors and still works with the company each week as a strategic advisor. Previously, Sacca served as head of special initiatives at Google, Inc. where he founded and headed up the alternative access and wireless divisions.

"Chris has played an incredibly influential role in the development and financing of technologies that are reshaping our daily lives," said Alison Davis-Blake, dean of the Carlson School. "We are excited to have him share his unique insights with our graduates."

Sacca graduated cum laude from Georgetown University Law Center where he was a member of The Tax Lawyer law review. He also graduated cum laude from the Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University. During his studies, Chris attended university at each of Universidad Católica del Ecuador in Quito, Ecuador; University College Cork, in Cork, Ireland; and the Universidad Complutense in Madrid, Spain.

In addition, Sacca serves as Associate Fellow of the Said Business School at Oxford University.
