Children's Hospitals CEO to Speak at December '1st Tuesday'
The December 1st Tuesday Speaker Series' keynote speaker is Children's Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota CEO Robert I. Bonar Jr. The event will take place on Dec. 6 from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. at the McNamara Alumni Center.
Bob Bonar, Jr. Dr. H.A., was appointed to chief executive officer of Children's Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota in 2014. He guides the organization’s long-term business strategy and builds on the strengths of its people, assets, and infrastructure. Children's is one of the largest pediatric health systems in the country, and serves children throughout the upper Midwest.
Throughout his career, Bonar has held numerous executive roles in the healthcare industry. He served as CEO of the Seton Healthcare Family and CEO of Dell Children’s Medical Center of Central Texas. Previously, he held senior leadership roles at Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughter’s Health System and the Children’s Hospital of Oklahoma.
Bonar earned his doctorate in health administration and policy from the Medical University of South Carolina. He holds master’s degrees from West Virginia University, the University of Oklahoma, and the Medical University of South Carolina. He completed a bachelor’s degree in biology from West Virginia University.
