The Carlson School will welcome United States-Cuba relations expert Dr. Ernesto Dominguez Lopez on Thursday, December 7, at 4:00 p.m. in 2-260R. This free lecture will focus on United States-Cuba relations through the lenses of history, politics, and trade.
Dominguez Lopez works at the Center for Hemispheric and United States Studies at the University of Havana where he serves as the chair of the Group for United States Studies and ranking member of the Group for the Study of Cuba-U.S. relations. In addition, he is a Tinker visiting professor endowed by the Edward Larocque Tinker Foundation at the University of Wisconsin, Madison.
An accomplished author, Dominguez Lopez has published more than 30 articles and essays in various academic journals and authored two books. He is a frequent lecturer in universities across the country, including Columbia University, Princeton University, Stanford University, and Loyola University, among others. He also is a commentator on Cuban national television.
