"Where are the Women?" to be held February 13 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in 3M Auditorium.
The Carlson Funds Enterprise will host "Where are the Women? A Conversation on Gender Balance in Finance" on February 13 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the 3M Auditorium.
The keynote speaker for the event will be Mellody Hobson, president of Ariel Investments. In addition to her role at Ariel, Hobson is a nationally recognized voice on financial literacy and investor education. She regularly appears on cable and network television providing financial advice and market commentary. She also contributes weekly money tips on the Tom Joyner Morning Show and pens a regular column for Black Enterprise magazine.
Following Hobson's keynote, a panel discussion will tackle such topics as: Why should we care about gender balance?; Why choose finance as a career?; How to navigate hurdles while advancing your career; and How men can become champions for reducing gender bias. Panelists will include Susanna Gibbons (RBC Global Asset Management), Kenneth Nelson (US Bank), Marcia Paige (Varde Partners), and Brad Winges (Piper Jaffray).
"Where are the Women?" will be moderated by Roshini Rajkumar, communication coach and host of WCCO Radio's News & Views. The event is free, however, registration is required.
