Severin St. Martin is the new Managing Director of the Carlson Consulting Enterprise (CCE). In his role as Managing Director, he is responsible for recruiting students, teaching classes on consulting and problem-solving approaches, coaching teams of student consultants, and developing client relationships.

He is a proven leader and business strategist with more than 10 years of intensive experience as a strategy consultant and military officer, focused primarily on the food and beverage and medical technology industries. His functional expertise includes operations, growth strategy, sales, and organizational design and leadership.

Prior to joining the CCE, St. Martin was a project leader at The Boston Consulting Group (BCG) in the Minneapolis and Stockholm offices. Here, he led small teams in bringing a structured and collaborative approach to solving critical business problems for clients around the U.S. and in more than 10 countries. His projects drove major impact, for example, designing and implementing a comprehensive new sales model for a $22 billion-plus food distributor that yielded annual savings of more than $15 million while increasing sales growth.

Before his time at BCG, he was an Infantry officer in the U.S. Army where he led a company of more than 200 soldiers in Ramadi, Iraq, and directed a command and control center coordinating the actions of more than 800 soldiers in Baghdad, Iraq. He was twice awarded the Bronze Star for leadership.

St. Martin holds a BS in political science and computer science from the United States Military Academy at West Point and an MBA from the Carlson School.
