Ken Paulus will discuss "The Health Care Model of the Future: The Time is Now..." on February 7.
Ken Paulus, president and chief executive officer of Minneapolis-based Allina Health System, will discuss "The Health Care Model of the Future: The Time is Now..." at the next "1st Tuesday Speaker Series" on February 7 at 11:30 a.m. in the University of Minnesota's McNamara Alumni Center.
Prior to his appointment as CEO, Paulus served as the president and chief operating officer of Allina, responsible for the operations of Allina's hospitals, specialty operations, and clinic groups. In his time at Allina he has led numerous growth initiatives; including joint ventures, strategic partnerships and acquisitions that have positioned Allina as the market share leader in the region.
Before joining Allina in 2005, Paulus was president and chief executive officer of Massachusetts-based HealthOne Care System, one of the nation's largest integrated physician organizations and a teaching and research affiliate of Harvard Medical School. Before his time at HealthOne, he served as the chief operating officer of Boston-based Partners Community HealthCare/Partners HealthCare System, a teaching affiliate of Harvard Medical School that includes two of the nation's leading hospitals - Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham and Women's Hospital.
Paulus serves on the Board of Overseers for the Carlson School of Management, is a trustee with Hamline University, and serves on the executive committee and board of directors for the Minnesota Hospital Association.
