Sehwon Kang is a doctoral candidate in the Supply Chain and Operations department of the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota. His research focuses on empirical operations management examining operational issues in highly regulated industries such as healthcare (e.g., hospitals, nursing homes) and oil and gas production and transportation (e.g., production platform, pipeline). He uses econometric and machine learning technique to analyze large-scale data in his research.

Prior to joining the doctoral program, Sehwon received an MS in Business Administration as well as undergraduate degrees in Electrical Engineering and Business Administration from Seoul National University.

He will be available at the INFORMS conference in Phoenix and the DSI conference in Chicago.
