Julie N. Wellmann is a doctoral candidate in the Work and Organizations department at the Carlson School of Management, University of Minnesota. She received her M.A. in political science from Northwestern University and her B.A. with honors in political science from James Madison College at Michigan State University. She has worked on Wall Street and in the non-profit sector. Her research interests focus on gender, family responsibilities, and careers. In particular, a multidisciplinary and multi-method approach to careers, taking into account household specialization, labor market attachment, gender roles, and human capital investment.
