Healthcare and Pharmaceutical Industry
I am interested in how data and information systems can be used to improve decisions where there is uncertainty regarding value or long-term outcomes (particularly in healthcare). My research looks at how healthcare providers and patients interpret information from AI/ML systems and how those interpretations shape decisions.
My corporate experience includes several years in the healthcare industry as a Brand Manager and Marketing Director, focusing on the intersection of clinical and commercial aspects of special care and rare disease management.
Prior to working in industry, I served in the United States Marine Corps as a logistics officer. I deployed to Afghanistan twice, first as a truck platoon commander and then combat operations center officer; military decorations include the Purple Heart, Navy/Marine Corps Commendation Medal, and Combat Action Ribbon.
