Jason Nguyen is a PhD Candidate in Supply Chain & Operations at the Carlson School of Management, University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. His primary research interest is to contribute to the movement toward a sustainable global economy by providing valuable practical insights through rigorous interdisciplinary academic research. In his research, he employs game theory, optimization, behavioral lab experiments and econometric analysis to study the effectiveness of environmental policies and incentive mechanisms in addressing industrial sustainability issues, focusing on Energy Efficiency investments.  In a recent work, he studies how external supports such as assessment assistance from a key buyer and/or a third-party and procurement commitment from the buyer impact the energy efficiency investment decision of a supplier. His research papers are under review at leading journals, including Management Science and  Manufacturing and Service Operations Management.
