UMN Students Take Silver Prizes

UMN seniors Noah Hoffman and Macie Rodriguez won the silver prize in both the sales and marketing categories of the State Farm National Sales & Marketing Competition held at the University of Missouri on October 29th.  Their marketing concept for State Farm's "Sixth Sense" leveraged technology to reduce accidents at home and on the road to improve safety and reduce the cost of insurance.  Hoffman hopes to use his giant check to pay for 15+ law school applications, while Rodriguez has her sites set on travel following their December graduations.

The UMN students competed against teams from ten other universities across the country, repeating its top performance in the marketing competition and winning awards for the fifth time in the past six competitions.
