Student Beverage Startup Hits the Market

Undergraduate students Della Daml and Josie Miller identified a problem during their experiential entrepreneurship course - they and their peers were frustrated by the limited choices and pressures to join the crowd by drinking alcohol at social events. The team researched the use of adaptogens, natural ingredients that help the body respond to stress and maintain balance, to create a refreshing and relaxing beverage "for the nights you want to remember". Their Charm brand underscores the calm and confident mood their market is seeking at social events, while avoiding the unhealthy aspects of alcohol.
Charm won the Student Division of MN Cup in 2025 and recently completed their second production run, which it will use to launch their product in local liquor stores and restaurants this Spring. See their recent features in the StarTribune and NBC News.
