Kristal Receives Entrepreneur of Year Award

Tuesday, May 10, 2022

David Kristal received the 2022 University of Minnesota Entrepreneur of the Year at the ninth annual Founders Day celebration on May 10th. David excels at each of the criteria for this award – earning his undergraduate degree at the Carlson School, founding and continuing to lead a dynamic and enduring business in Augeo and, most importantly, consistently given back to the University and serving as a wonderful role model for our students and fellow alumni.  His long-time efforts to speak in our entrepreneurship classes, create the Luminaries Speaker Series and support the Institute for Research in Marketing have injected David's creative enthusiasm throughout the Carlson School.  His hiring and mentoring of University students speaks to his willingness to invest in the next generation of entrepreneurs.  David's passion, curiosity and enthusiastic support inspire us all.

The Holmes Center for Entrepreneurship coordinates the annual selection of the University of Minnesota's Entrepreneur of the Year Award, seeking to identify one exemplary alumnus who founded and is currently leading an enduring business, who supports the University and local community and who serves as a role model to our students and fellow alumni.  Join us in congratulating David!
