During the month of August, finalists will receive presentation training from Spoken Impact and be narrowed down to division winners who will each receive $30,000, and one runner up who will receive $5,000. Teams will present in front of the MN Cup Review Board on August 30 and 31 to determine who will win the division award - and a share of the record $402,000 in prize money.

Division winners will move on to compete for the grand prize award on September 22. The 2016 MN Cup grand prize recipient will be announced that evening at a gala at the University of Minnesota McNamara Alumni Center. The event will feature live company pitches, updates from last years MN Cup winner, Astropad, and the announcement of the grand prize winner.
