About

Ellen Trader is the Assistant Dean and Chief Learning Officer for Carlson Executive Education, Carlson School of Management, University of Minnesota. Ellen works with faculty to provide transformative learning opportunities for individuals, teams, and organizations.

Previously, she directed the Carlson School's Master of Science in Business Analytics (MSBA) program. In the Carlson Analytics Lab, student-led teams solve real problems for corporate clients leveraging data analytics tools and techniques. Prior to working at the Carlson School, Ellen spent over 15 years in various strategy and marketing roles with Target, Unilever, and Gap, Inc. She has an MBA from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania and a BA from Emory University. Ellen teaches several graduate-level courses in Agile project management, and problem-solving. In addition, she leads student teams in action learning projects solving real-world problems for companies using data analytics.
