The University of Minnesota Interdisciplinary Health Data Competition began in 2020 to promote interdisciplinary collaboration on using data to address current healthcare challenges. In this competition, students complete an exploratory analysis of specified datasets to provide innovative solutions and insights using data science tools and methodologies.  This event encourages graduate students across all disciplines at the University of Minnesota to practice, enhance, and showcase their understanding of real-world healthcare problems and their abilities to solve them with innovative use of data science.

The 2023 competition will focus on measuring quality and disparities in care using a unique dataset created for use in the competition by MN Community Measurement

Join us for the final presentations as the top-scoring teams present their projects to a panel of industry expert judges, and stay for the awards reception to follow! Competition participants, judges, and guests are invited to attend as we celebrate all participants' work.

Presenting teams will present in person at the Carlson School of Management. Guests have the option of attending virtually (a Zoom link to join the virtual event will be emailed to you.)
