The department shapes future supply chain leaders through a variety of undergraduate and graduate programs:

  • Undergraduate: Supply Chain and Operations major and minor
  • Full-Time and Part-Time MBA: Supply Chain and Operations specialization 
  • Master of Science in Supply Chain Management
  • PhD in Business Administration with a concentration in Supply Chain and Operations Management 

Research

Ranked fourth by Production and Operations Management for its research productivity, the Carlson School leads innovation across the supply chain discipline. Supply Chain & Operations faculty conduct impactful research that is driven by consequential real-world problems. The researchers address topics like supply chain management, global operations, quality, lean and six sigma, behavioral operations, technology and innovation, services, healthcare, sustainability and social responsibility, big data analytics and humanitarian logistics.  

Case Competition

Hosted by the Carlson School, the National Undergraduate Supply Chain and Operations Case Competition provides a unique learning opportunity for undergraduate students while raising awareness of the areas of supply chain and operations as both a field of study and as a potential career path.

Industry Engagement

The Carlson School engages industry partners in a variety of ways. Supply chain leaders access the department's expertise by sponsoring academic research, commissioning supply chain solutions, hiring exceptional graduate students through the Carlson Consulting Enterprise, enrolling in Executive Education courses and programs, and more.
