April 15-18, 2020
We are so excited to extend invitations to teams around the world!
Greetings from the student chair!
Hello and Welcome! My name is Prajwal Vemireddy and I am excited to introduce myself as the Student Chair for CoMIS 2021! On behalf of this year's planning committee, we are eagerly waiting for the teams from all over the world who will be joining us for this years’ conference. We have been working diligently to craft an amazing virtual experience that reflects the innovative culture and thriving business community of Minnesota.
The Twin Cities is home to 17 Fortune 500 companies in a range of industries, supplemented with a strong affinity for start-ups and entrepreneurship. Interestingly, the Carlson School was the first institution to pioneer and publish curriculum in the MIS field. More so, there are impressive art, theater, outdoors, and food scenes. In fact, Minneapolis was selected to host the NFL's Super Bowl LII in 2018 and hosted the NCAA's Final Four in April 2019!
CoMIS is normally held at the University of Minnesota’s Carlson School of Management in Minneapolis. However, due to the current circumstances, this year’s competition will be held virtually for the first time ever. Our planning committee has been working hard to make sure that this transition online goes smoothly and that teams will still engage in a challenging case that tests their business acumen and presentation skills.
As deadlines approach, please be on the lookout for communications from us via email and on our social media. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out and our team will be happy to assist you. We cannot wait to see you in March!
