The University of Minnesota has been a driving force in the field of management information systems (MIS) since 1968. To mark this milestone, the Carlson School will host a conference highlighting how the University of Minnesota helped establish the foundations of the discipline and pioneer scholarship in the field.

Alok GuptaAlok Gupta's distinguished career has included numerous publications, awards, editorial appointments, and other honors. Dr. Gupta joined the Carlson School of Management in 2001 and served as chair of the Information & Decision Sciences Department from 2006-2014. His current roles include Associate Dean of Faculty and Research, Curtis L. Carlson Schoolwide Chair in Information Management, and Professor of Information & Decision Sciences.

Dr. Gupta's address will reflect on the University of Minnesota's contributions to the field of management information systems (MIS) over the last 50 years.
