Freshman and Sophomore Progress Standards

In order to stay on track toward timely graduation, all students in the Carlson School are expected to meet the following progress standards by the end of their freshmen and sophomore years. Students should work closely with their advisor to make sure they remain on track. 


Freshmen Progress Standards

  • Complete 30 credits by the end of the year
  • Complete microeconomics, macroeconomics, calculus, first year composition, MGMT 1001, and MGMT 1005 with a C- or higher
  • Meet with your advisor each semester
  • Start exploring your International Experience options with your advisor and CGI advisor and look for the IE 101 workshop in spring semester to help you choose a program


Sophomore Progress Standards

  • Complete ACCT 2050 and SCO 2550 with a C- or higher and BA 3000
  • Complete the Immersion Core
  • Declare your major
  • Meet with your advisor once during the academic year
  • Continue planning your international experience
