Workshops and Professional Development
Held over lunch and during evening hours, the Carlson School offers 20-30 workshops per year specific to graduate- and executive-level students' job search needs. In addition, the Exectuive Career Planning Workshop series is a quarterly workshop that brings together the Executive MBA class with local professionals and career experts to guide you along in your career development.
MBA Corporate Reception
The MBA Corporate Reception is a networking event for Full-Time, Part-Time, and Executive MBA students who are participating in on-campus recruiting. This cocktail hour reception gives 50+ employers their first peek at the talented MBA class, as well as the opportunity to talk with second year MBA students about their internship experiences and career goals.
Company Info Sessions
Company information sessions are an excellent opportunity for students to make an initial contact with a company representative. We have over 100 companies come on campus and share a bit about their company culture, positions they hire for, and ways to engage. These are excellent opportunities to research various companies that hire at the Carlson School and expand your business network.
On-Campus Interviews - limited
Each year, more than 80 organizations recruit on campus for career opportunities, while another 300 companies use our external job posting system Talentlink. Executive MBA students are invited to participate in on-campus recruiting during their time in the program, if eligible. Typically, recruiters come here to hire for jobs that are not necessarily EMBA-level. Students who may be a good candidate for this are those who are less experienced than our average or looking to make an industry switch. Our career center staff will determine whether or not you are eligible for on-campus recruiting at which point you will need to complete a specific set of workshops and processes to participate.
