Experiential Learning
Build Your Resume as You Study
Experiential learning is a hallmark of the Carlson School. MABA courses include case-based learning, and professors encourage students to bring questions from the workplace into the classroom. In your final semester, you’ll complete a capstone project in business analytics for a real client company.
At the Carlson School, students complete the MABA program with the kind of resume-worthy experience that routinely gets the attention of employers.
Capstone Project in Business Analytics
The capstone project is the culmination of the Master of Applied Business Analytics program. In this hands-on project course, students work with a client company over the course of a semester, providing analytics consulting on a real business problem. Students work in small teams, leading the project from kickoff to completion while integrating and applying the analytics methodologies, techniques, and tools learned throughout the program.
The capstone provides MABA students with end-to-end experience — from initial project definition to data engineering and method selection, and from analysis and development to final delivery of results, insights, and work products.
