"Carlson's full-time MBA program affords a smaller class size with a larger Minnesota alumni community…and it's a great, powerful network to be a part of! "
Midwest-born and raised, I grew up extremely curious to understand the global context of our precious lakes, prairies, and farmland. This curiosity led me to pursue a liberal arts degree at the College of Saint Benedict and spend a year teaching in the south of France before my fascination with context evolved into a passion to give back. I became an urban planner and helped build up the social infrastructure necessary to building our country's physical infrastructure. This work helped me understand how vital businesses are to positively shaping our shared culture and ultimately led me to pursue my MBA. Now I'm following my passion for culture in food on a brand management career track.
Minnesota is where my heart is, and it is where I wanted my network and impact to be, too. Carlson's full-time MBA program affords a smaller class size with a larger Minnesota alumni community…and it's a great, powerful network to be a part of! I am driven to give back to a region of the world that has given me so much. For those who have spent any part of their lives in Minnesota, you understand how incredibly special this state is. Couple these reasons with Carlson's world-class experiential and global learning programs, and the choice was easy!
Team Collaboration as a Carlson MBA Student
One of my favorite parts of my Carlson MBA experience has been working on teams: with my tight-knit core team, with a winning Medtronic case competition team, with an all-women Net Impact case competition team, with an international marketing research team working on aquatic invasive species, with a powerhouse Carlson Brand Enterprise team...the list goes on. The projects have been both challenging and exciting, but the diverse perspectives and talents of my teammates are what have made my learning experience so valuable.
