The 2022 HR Tomorrow Conference, Curating Culture.

From non-profit to private equity to publicly traded, company culture matters, and research shows the strong link between culture and organizational performance. In a constantly changing business environment, companies are purposefully taking action to manage culture. HR is at the forefront of these efforts in partnership with leaders to curate a culture that creates a competitive advantage, unlocks performance, and improves employer and customer brands.       
The 2022 HR Tomorrow conference will engage in a dialogue around strategic culture management. Through a series of dynamic and interactive sessions, the conference will equip human resource leaders at all levels within the organization with the skills and information needed to increase both personal and organizational performance. Topics may include, but are not limited to, organizational culture and change, the evolving workplace, workforce changes, employee engagement, diversity, equity & inclusion, the employee value proposition, employer branding and employee experience.

Ron CarucciCo-Founder and Managing Partner at Navalent 

Ron Carucci

Ron Carucci is co-founder and managing partner at Navalent, working with CEOs and executives pursuing transformational change for their organizations, leaders, and industries. He has a thirty-year track record helping executives tackle challenges of strategy, organization, and leadership.  From start-ups to Fortune 10’s, non-profits to heads-of-state, turnarounds to new markets and strategies, overhauling leadership and culture to re-designing for growth. Nick AlmFounder and Godx, Mossier. Nick Alm (they/them) was born in St. Paul and grew up in Stillwater, Minnesota. While pursuing a degree in Management Information Systems from the University of Minnesota, they co-founded The Carlson School’s first undergraduate LGBTQ student organization, Compass. It was through Compass that they developed a deep passion for advancing conversations about Queer employment equity. Today, Nick is the founder and Godx of Mossier, a social enterprise with a mission of employment equity for everyone LGBTQ. Mossier helps organizations of all sizes attract Queer talent while simultaneously developing workplace cultures and practices that actively dismantle systems of homophobia, transphobia and white supremacy.

Andy BraunshausenVice President, Land O'Lakes Inc. Winfield United Crop Protection Marketing. Andy Braunshausen serves as the Vice President of Winfield United Crop Protection Marketing at Land O’Lakes. Andy has over 20 years of experience in marketing across industries and for well-known established brands. Andy is a champion of inclusion and is known for his commitment to developing others. Andy is a leader on the Land O’Lakes Men as Advocates employee resource group and regularly advocates for creating an equitable culture at his organization. Andy holds his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Iowa State University and his MBA from The University of Iowa Tippie School of Business.

Jenna ConzemiusHR Pathways Associate, Land O'Lakes. Jenna Conzemius is part of Land O’Lakes Human Resources Graduate Leadership and Development program where she works on agile projects spanning the HR function. Jenna graduated from the Carlson School of Management with her Bachelor of Science in Marketing and her Master of Arts in Human Resources and Industrial Relations. Jenna’s passion to take ownership in her work and elevate others has led to successes in the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion space in her organization. Before championing inclusion projects at Land O’Lakes, Jenna was involved in inclusion leadership initiatives within the University of Minnesota Athletics Department and in partnership with Schwan’s Company. Jenna served as a board member on the Student Athlete’s Advisory Committee for Gopher Athletics and helped to build W.I.L.L. (Women Invested in Leadership and Learning) a women’s mentorship program serving 150+ female student athletes.

Ryan DunnSenior Director & Co-Chair Chief Talent Officer Forums, Institute for Corporate Productivity (i4cp). Ryan Dunn has been a leader in the human capital field for the last two decades. He is an accomplished executive with an extensive background and experience in leadership development and is known as a thought leader in the corporate learning, leadership, coaching, and talent management space. Prior to joining i4cp, Ryan was an executive at Silicon Valley-based where he led the Enterprise Solutions Division. Ryan also has served for 13 + years as an executive leader in multiple roles for the University of Phoenix and Apollo Education Group. Ryan is currently a faculty member for the University of Phoenix and facilitates undergraduate and graduate business courses. He also serves on the Professional Development Board for the Association for Talent Development (ATD) and Best Buddies. Ryan is a frequent moderator, panelist and speaker on talent management, learning, and leading-edge human capital practices. 

Jill Hauwiller, Owner and Principal Consultant, Leadership Refinery. Jill Hauwiller is Owner and Principal Consultant at Leadership Refinery, a leadership and organizational development consulting firm in the Twin Cities. She has over 20 years of experience in Global Talent Management, Leadership Assessment & Coaching, and Organizational Culture & Inclusion. She has worked in and with global organizations, top-ranked business schools, and professional services firms. Jill specializes in coaching high potential leaders through career changes and accelerated development, using a future-focused and strengths-based approach to creating sustainable change. Jill earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communication and German from the University of Minnesota-Duluth, and her Master of Arts in Communication from Bethel University, with an emphasis in Conflict Management and Emotional Intelligence. Jill speaks to local and national audiences on leadership and career development. In addition to being a credentialed coach with the International Coaching Federation (ICF), she is certified to use many tools and assessments, which she applies to her executive coaching and facilitation.

Tiffany KramlichHR Director, Land O'Lakes. She has an MBA from the University of St Thomas. She has worked as a strategic HR Executive for over 20 years, working in a global capacity in several industries, including agriculture, chemical and medical device. Tiffany earned a mindfulness and meditation certification two years ago from Breathe of Life Yoga. She completed her Life Coach certification in September, 2021.

Heather PolivkaCEO/Advisor, HeatherP Solutions. Heather Polivka is an internationally trusted business advisor accelerating the growth and success of progressive SMBs and their leaders through practical leadership, employee performance, and thriving workplace cultures. Heather’s methodology has been masterfully crafted with over a decade’s worth of experience transforming people, processes, and profits of Fortune 10 organizations and businesses of all sizes. She unites marketing, HR, technology, and operations expertise to address workplace culture, breaking down silos, optimizing ways of working, improving employee engagement, and developing strong people leadership. Heather recently created a new online manager training program, Awesome People Leaders (APL), to address the prevalent gap in employee retention and engagement at companies of all sizes across multiple industries: a lack of training and development for new and first-time managers. Aaron Sojourner, Associate Professor, the Carlson School of Management. Associate Professor Aaron Sojourner served as senior economist for labor at the White House Council of Economic Advisers during the Obama and Trump administrations. Leading media outlets often feature his analysis to help interpret economic news.

Serilda Summers-McGeeFounder/CEO, Workplace Change, LLC. Serilda Summers-McGee is the owner of Workplace Change, a company that exists to help organizations realize workplace excellence. She is also author of the book Change the Workgame: Building and Sustaining a Diverse Workforce, which instructs readers on the best and worst practices of recruiting and retaining a diverse workforce using case studies from Serilda’s consulting experiences. Serilda has worked with clients in many industries and sectors to help them determine strategies to recruit, retain, and support top talent from all backgrounds! Prior to launching her company, Ms. Summers-McGee held previous roles as the Human Resources and Workforce Development Director for the Portland Development Commission, Human Resources Director for the Oregon Department of Education, Talent Planning Manager at Kaiser Permanente Northwest and she was the first executive director for Partners in Diversity, an affiliate of the Portland Business Alliance, where she worked with human resources departments at companies throughout the region on strategies to recruit and retain executives of color. She has more than 15 years of experience in government, higher education, and corporate environments with experience across a broad range of HR practices. Ms. Summers-McGee received a Bachelor of Science degree from Grand Valley State University, a Master of Arts in Student Affairs Administration from Ball State University, and a Master of Business Administration from Willamette University. Serilda's philosophy is that leaders are charged with the responsibility of establishing and maintaining company cultures that accept people for whom they are, transparently inform staff about company policies and processes, hold staff accountable for their work, and empower them to be their best versions of themselves. Rebekah Whisler, HR Consultant, Rebekah Whisler Consulting. Rebekah is the founder of Rebekah Whisler Consulting, which provides expertise to organizations and executives in the areas of talent, transformation, teams, and executive coaching. Rebekah gained extensive global HR leadership experience during her 23 year career at General Mills, where she partnered with a variety of business units, corporate functions, shared services, and supply chains. Rebekah drove business results as both an HR Business Partner, creating and activating talent, organization, and culture strategies, and also as Enterprise Lead for talent management and organization effectiveness, building leadership and HR capabilities. Rebekah earned her Master of Arts in Labor and Employment Relations and Bachelor of Science in Psychology, both from the University of Illinois.

Holly WhitcombOwner, Novel Leadership. Holly Whitcomb's passion for helping people be their best drives her every day. Holly is the CEO and Founder of Novel Leadership, LLC, focused on the development of individuals and teams through coaching, workshop development and facilitation. Holly has over 20 years of experience in Learning & Development, Organizational Management and Human Resources. She works directly with senior leaders across several sectors to increase their leadership team effectiveness and leadership development needs as well as providing individualized coaching. Before establishing Novel Leadership, Holly held senior learning and development roles at 3M, specialized in facilitating and supporting professional cross-company virtual mentoring relationships with MENTTIUM Corporation, and held Human Resource management positions with Caribou Coffee, Amplifon USA and Qwest Communications. Holly received her MBA from the University of St. Thomas in Minneapolis and holds a BA in Speech/Communications from the University of Minnesota. She completed her Hudson Internal Coaching Certification in 2016 and holds the ACC level certification with the International Coaching Federation. She is a certified facilitator for Insights Discovery, InsideOut Coaching and EQ-I 2.0.

Kevin WildeExecutive Leadership Fellow, the Carlson School of Management, and Senior Strategic Business Advisor, Institute for Corporate Productivity (i4cp). Kevin Wilde currently serves as an Executive Leadership Fellow at the Carlson School of Management, University of Minnesota. He teaches applied leadership in a number of graduate courses. His current research topics include leadership coachability, executive derailment and contemporary talent development. In 2015 he concluded a 34-year corporate career in leadership and talent development at General Electric and General Mills. During his time at General Mills, the organization was consistently recognized for its innovative development work, highlighted by Fortune’s #2 ranking as one of the best companies in the world at leadership development, #1 listing by Leadership Excellence magazine, #1 Global Learning Elite ranking  and Training magazine’s “Hall of Fame” designation as a top company for employee development.  In 2007, Chief Learning Officer magazine selected Kevin as CLO of the year. Kevin continued to be an active contributor to the leadership and talent development profession with business advising and writing. His advisory work includes the Institute for Corporate Productivity (i4cp) and GP Strategies. In 2011, his first book, “Dancing with the Talent Stars: 25 Moves that Matter Now” was published by Human Capital Media. In 2015, he served as editor of “A CLO Leadership Reader:  Chief Learning Officer Magazine’s Best for Today’s Learning Leader.”  His writing for Talent management received a national award for editorial excellence from the American Society of Business Publication Editors.  His work has also been published in over a dozen books, including “Coaching For Leadership” and the “Pfieffer Annual on Leadership Development”.
