Women's Leadership Conference 2022
The Carlson School kicked off Women’s History Month with the 17th Women’s Leadership Conference on March 4 at McNamara Alumni Center. More than 250 women and men participated in the event, including alumni, faculty, and current students from the Carlson School and the University of Minnesota, as well as executives and emerging leaders from the regional business community and around the country.
MBA Reunion Weekend
In May 2022, the Carlson School welcomed MBA alumni and friends back to campus to celebrate the inaugural in-person MBA Reunion Weekend. MBA graduates celebrating milestones from 50th to 1st Reunions returned to reconnect, network, and learn from Carlson School faculty and fellow alumni.
Andy Van de Ven Conference
The inaugural Van de Ven Conference took place in June 2022, just months after Professor Emeritus Andrew Van de Ven, whose lifetime of scholarship inspired the conference, passed away. Carlson School alumni, faculty from around the country, and current students came together to present their engaged scholarship research and share remembrances of Professor Van de Ven.
Centennial Celebrations
We were so glad to see many alumni and friends join us in celebrating 100 years of excellence and innovation at the University of Minnesota's Carlson School of Management. Twin Cities
The Twin Cities Centennial Celebration took place on Friday, September 13, 2019, at the U.S. Bank Stadium. We heard MN Cup Big Ideas pitches, learned about start-up companies from current students and alumni, and danced to music from a local artist.
Vienna
Alumni and Friends joined Dean Sri Zaheer, WU Rector Edeltraud Hanappi Egger, WU Executive Academy Dean Barbara Stöttinger, and Professor Vlad Griskevicius at the WU Executive Academy on November 8 2019 to celebrate the 100 years of the Carlson School as well as 20 years of the Vienna Executive MBA program.
San Francisco
We caught up with many alumni and friends at the San Francisco Centennial Celebration event on October 24, 2019, at the W San Francisco. Alumni and friends joined the Dean Sri Zaheer and Associate Dean of Faculty and Research Alok Gupta to celebrate.
Seattle
On October 23, 2019, we celebrated the Carlson School 100 years in Seattle with alumni and friends. It was hosted by former alum, Jim Weber '82 BSB at the Brooks Running Headquarters.
Dallas
Fellow alumni and friends honor the connections they made by celebrating 100 years of the Carlson School in Dallas, Texas with Dean Sri Zaheer and Professor Mark Bergen. The celebration was held at the Mesero Legacy West hosted by one our alumni, Judd Nystrom '96 BSB.
Chicago
The Chicago Centennial Celebration took place at the Kirkland & Ellis LLP and hosted by our very own alum, John ('84 BSB, '87 Law) and Beth Hartmann.
New York
New York City Centennial Celebration took place on June 20, 2019 at the luxurious Parker New York where we enjoyed the spectacular view of the famous Central Park and Manhatten skyline. Alumni and friends mingled with one another and celebrated with Dean Sri Zaheer and Professor Ravi Bapna.
Carlson Centennial Asia Forum
Fellow Carlson alumni, faculty, and friends celebrated 100 years of excellence at the Centennial Asia Forum in Shanghai.
