Professor Aaron Sojourner was named by Gov. Tim Walz to the State Advisory Council on Early Childhood Education and Care.

Sojourner has done extensive research on the hiring, turnover, and retention of teachers, and he recently partnered with Minneapolis Public Schools on research to improve the odds that the best teachers are hired right away and retained over time.
